About the Competence Center Automation Duesseldorf

The TATU project is accomplished and managed in the department of electrical engineering (ETECH) of the Duesseldorf University of Applied Sciences by the Competence Center Automation Duesseldorf (CCAD) headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Langmann. ETECH has approx. 1300 full-time students, 25 full-time professors as well as 35 scientific/not-scientific employees in part- and full time. Major task of ETECH is the training of students with the certification of bachelor and master degrees in the education areas of  electrical engineering in the specialized courses of automation technology, power engineering, micro technology and information and communication technology. There are co-operation agreements with eight partner universities world-wide. The department forces a lot of research e.g. in the industrial automation area and is involved in R&D projects and international activities e.g. in European summer schools of remote engineering. DUAS is one of the founding member of the EduNet initiative.

The CCAD has extensive experience in managing and organising national and international R&D projects in the field of web technologies and remote engineering.
