The Department ofAutomation and Telecommunication, is one of the oldest departments in Donetsk National Technical University. It was founded in 1960.
The main objective of the Department of Automation and Telecommunications, is to train specialists in the field of computerized control systems and automation, as well as in the field of telecommunications.
The scientific work of the department is conducted in the following directions:
- - automated system for condition monitoring of process equipment;
- - digital telecommunication systems and networks, the use of network technology in automatic and automated control;
- - neural networks and genetic algorithms in automatic control systems and telecommunications;
- - identification, simulation and optimal control of technological processes in the chemical and metallurgical industries;
- - design of embedded control systems and microprocessor technology.
